Your windshield isn’t the only piece of auto glass that can leave you with a problem.
A side window can shatter. Back glass can break. A door window can get stuck halfway down or stop moving altogether. Sometimes the glass is damaged. Other times, the problem is hiding inside the door.
Cornerstone provides professional car window replacement and repair throughout the Denver Metro, Colorado foothills, and surrounding Front Range communities. We work with side and door glass, rear windows, stationary glass, and the components that allow many vehicle windows to operate.
Tell us what’s happening. We’ll figure out whether the problem is the glass, the mechanism, or both, and explain what it takes to fix it.
You don’t need to know the name of the glass or which component failed before calling us.
Start with what you can see.
Side windows can be damaged by an accident, break-in, flying debris, or any number of unexpected impacts.
If the glass has shattered or is too badly damaged to remain in the vehicle, side window replacement may be necessary. Cornerstone can identify the correct glass for your vehicle, remove the damaged glass, and replace it properly.
If the problem involves more than the glass itself, we’ll let you know.
Whether you call it the rear window, rear windshield, or back glass, damage behind the passenger compartment creates its own set of problems.
Cornerstone provides back glass replacement and rear windshield replacement for qualifying vehicles. We’ll evaluate what’s damaged, identify the correct replacement glass, and explain what the job requires before we get started.
If the glass isn’t broken but the window won’t move, replacing the glass probably isn’t the answer.
The problem may involve the regulator, switch, motor, or another component responsible for operating the window. Cornerstone works with door glass systems as well as the glass itself, allowing us to look beyond the symptom and determine what’s actually causing the problem.
Because sometimes car door window repair has very little to do with the window glass.
A car window is more than a piece of glass.
Inside the door are components that raise, lower, guide, and secure it. When something in that system stops working, the symptoms can look like an auto glass problem even when the glass itself is perfectly fine.
Maybe the window won’t move when you press the switch. Maybe it moves slowly, sits crooked, falls into the door, or won’t stay closed.
Those are reasons to look at what’s happening behind the door panel rather than assume the glass needs to be replaced.
Cornerstone can evaluate the window and determine whether you’re dealing with damaged glass, a mechanical problem, or a combination of the two.
We’ll repair what actually needs repairing.
When you press the window switch, several components have to work together to move the glass where it needs to go.
If something in that system fails, you may need power window repair rather than new auto glass.
A failed or damaged window regulator, for example, can prevent the glass from moving correctly even though there’s nothing wrong with the glass itself. Cornerstone provides car window regulator repair and works with related door-glass components to restore proper operation when possible.

We’ll start by determining what’s preventing the window from working properly. From there, we’ll explain what we find and recommend the repair that’s needed, without replacing components that are still doing their job.
When people hear “auto glass repair,” they often think of filling a small rock chip in a windshield.
Other vehicle glass can be different.
Depending on the type of glass and the extent of the damage, a broken side or rear window may require replacement rather than the type of resin-based repair used for qualifying windshield chips and cracks.
That’s why we start by identifying what glass is damaged and what happened to it.
If replacement is necessary, we’ll explain why. If the damage involves your windshield and may still be repairable, we’ll point you toward the appropriate service instead.
Replacing a broken car window means taking care of more than the piece that’s missing.
Cornerstone evaluates the damaged area and related components, identifies the correct replacement glass, and takes care of the broken glass left behind as part of the job. For operable windows, we also need to make sure the new glass works properly with the system that raises, lowers, and guides it.
If we find another problem along the way, we’ll show you what we found and explain how it affects the repair.
That’s an important part of the Cornerstone approach.
We don’t want to replace the glass, send you on your way, and leave an underlying problem for you to discover later.
Not every piece of glass on a vehicle rolls up and down.
Depending on the vehicle, there may also be quarter glass, vent glass, stationary panels, roof glass, sliders, and other pieces that don’t fit neatly into “windshield” or “door window.”
Cornerstone works with a wide range of auto glass repair and replacement needs. If you’re not sure what the damaged piece is called, that’s fine.
Tell us where it is on the vehicle and what happened. We’ll help you identify it and determine what comes next.
Cornerstone also works with select specialty and custom glass applications.
If you have a classic car, hot rod, RV, trailer, heavy equipment, or another vehicle that needs something beyond a typical car window replacement, tell us what you’re working with. We’ll let you know whether it’s something we can help with.
In many cases, we can bring auto glass service to you.
Cornerstone provides mobile service throughout eligible areas of the Denver Metro, Colorado foothills, and surrounding Front Range communities. Whether mobile service is appropriate can depend on the vehicle, type of glass, repair required, and conditions at the location.
Tell us what’s broken and where the vehicle is located. We’ll let you know whether we can take care of it there or whether bringing it to our Conifer shop makes more sense.
Damage to a side window, back glass, or another piece of auto glass may be covered depending on your insurance policy and what caused the damage.
Cornerstone works with all insurance companies and can assist customers with policies issued both in Colorado and in other states.
If you’re planning to use insurance, let us know when you contact us. We’ll help you through the process and make sure the appropriate information gets where it needs to go.
Paying for the repair yourself? We can provide a quote for that, too.
A broken car window can be obvious.
What it takes to fix it isn’t always as simple.
The right solution might be replacing shattered glass. It might be repairing a failed regulator or another part of the window system. Sometimes both need attention.
Since 2001, Cornerstone has helped Colorado drivers understand what’s wrong before deciding what needs to be done. Our technicians bring the same focus on careful workmanship, honest communication, and doing the job correctly to your side and rear glass that we bring to your windshield.
You don’t have to diagnose the problem before you call.
