When most people think about auto glass, they think about the windshield.
But vehicles contain different types of glass, moving components, cameras, adhesives, moldings, and other systems that can affect what looks at first like a simple glass problem.
A door window that won’t move may have a problem behind the door panel. Replacing a windshield with a camera requires ADAS recalibration. Removing old glass can uncover corrosion that needs attention before anything new should go back in.
Even two pieces of glass on the same vehicle may be made differently and designed to behave differently when damaged.
We look at what’s happening, what kind of glass and systems are involved, and what your vehicle actually requires. From there, we can recommend an auto glass solution based on the job in front of us rather than an assumption about what it needs.
A rock chip doesn’t automatically mean you need a new windshield. At the same time, not every chip or crack can be safely repaired.
Cornerstone will evaluate the damage and determine whether windshield repair is a good option or replacement makes more sense. If you do need a new windshield, we’ll make sure the installation accounts for the materials, procedures, and technology your vehicle requires.

If there’s a camera mounted behind your windshield, replacing the glass is only part of the job.
When a camera is present, ADAS recalibration is always required after windshield replacement. Cornerstone performs that calibration in-house, allowing us to handle both parts of the process and make sure the job is completed correctly.
Sometimes the easiest way to deal with broken auto glass is to bring the shop to you.
Cornerstone offers mobile auto glass service at homes, workplaces, and other eligible locations throughout our service area. Depending on the vehicle and the work involved, we’ll let you know whether mobile or in-shop service is the better fit.

The work involved in repairing a rock chip isn’t the same as replacing a door window. Installing a windshield isn’t the same as working on custom glass.

Our technicians are individually AGSC and Sika certified through testing, and we continue building on that training through hands-on experience. When an installation calls for two technicians, we work as a team. When calibration is required, we handle it in-house. And when removing old glass reveals a problem underneath, we don’t simply cover it back up.
